This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Last updated September 15, 2026.
Who We Are
This website is operated by Vista Fence LLC, a fence and gate contractor in Greater Seattle, Washington (“we”, “us”). Our contact details are on the contact page.
Information You Give Us
When you send a form on this site — the estimate form at the top of most pages, the quote request or the contact form — we receive what you enter: typically your name, phone number, email address, the property location or ZIP code, a description of the project, and any photos you attach.
Please do not include anything we do not need to quote a fence, such as financial or health information.
Information Collected Automatically
- With a form. The time of submission, your IP address and your browser’s user-agent string are stored with the message. We use them to block spam and abuse — for example, to limit how many messages can be sent from one address.
- Cookies. Browsing the site sets no cookies. Submitting a form starts a short-lived session, which sets one strictly necessary session cookie. We use no advertising or analytics cookies.
- Server logs. Like any web server, ours may record requests (IP address, page, time, browser) in routine technical logs used for security and troubleshooting.
- Spam protection. If a form shows a Cloudflare Turnstile check, Cloudflare processes information about your browser to tell people from bots, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
The fence cost calculator runs entirely in your browser. What you enter in it is not sent to us or stored.
How We Use It
- To reply to you, arrange a site visit, and prepare and follow up on a quote.
- To carry out and support work you hire us for, including scheduling, utility locates and permits where needed.
- To keep the site and its forms secure and free of spam.
- To keep business records required by law, such as for contracts and tax.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unrelated to your enquiry.
Who We Share It With
Only with those who help us answer you or do the work, and only as far as they need to:
- our website hosting and email providers, which store and deliver messages for us;
- where a job requires it, the one-call utility locate service, a city permit office, or your HOA, with the property details they need;
- authorities, when the law requires it.
Photos You Upload
Photos attached to a form are stored on our web server under a randomly generated file name and are linked only from the message we receive. They are not published on this site. If you would like a photo of your property used as an example of our work, we will ask you separately first.
How Long We Keep It
Messages that do not turn into a job are deleted when they are no longer needed to follow up, and in any case within 24 months. Information about work we carry out is kept for as long as we need it for the contract, warranty questions and our legal and tax obligations.
Your Choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by email or phone using the details on the contact page. We will do so unless we have to keep something by law — for example, records of a completed contract.
Security
The site’s database and files are protected against direct access from the web, and access to submitted messages is limited to people at Vista Fence LLC who need it. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, so please avoid sending anything sensitive through a web form.
Links, Children and Changes
This site links to other websites, such as city code pages and state agencies. Their privacy practices are their own.
The site is intended for adults arranging work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
